ultrasound, breakfast, blah blah blah
Sep. 29th, 2005 12:08 pmSo my ultrasound was scheduled for 8:30 this morning. I was told two weeks ago that I needed to drink 32 ounces of fluid within an hour beforehand. Evidently, they didn't actually expect that to happen.
So I got in there and after pushing and prodding and coating me with gel they told me to go to the bathroom a little. That wasn't enough the first time, the second time, the third time OR the fourth time, so they finally told me just to get rid of all of it and see what happened.
Why, pray tell, do they say that if they don't mean it? gaarh.
Anywho, I've got some pictures of the baby now. And there is, indeed, only one baby and my due date remains the same, so we'll have to see what the doctor has to say about that this afternoon. (Frith, my appointment is in a little less than an hour...)
Auntie Jennifer went with me, she's just excited. Afterward, we were both hungry, and she wanted to go to McDonald's for breakfast, so that's where we went. I made the mistake of ordering two burritos and couldn't finish them both (not after a hash brown and some lemonade) so I had to get rid of the other one. That didn't prove to be too hard. All I had to do was walk up to Pat who works at the other end of Finance.
"Pat, want a breakfast burrito?"
*looks wary* "are you serious?"
"Of course I am!"
*smile* "I never turn down free food! You're such a sweetheart..."
And so it went.
I'm hungry again, but I'm not sure it's worth it to try and get a salad and finish it and get back to St John's before my appointment. Soooo I'll just eat something small and get a salad on the way back.
Meanwhile, I cannot seem to take my eyes off these pictures. I'll post them later.
