anniversary, blah
Feb. 3rd, 2005 09:35 amIt's Mom and Dad's anniversary. 32 years. Mom has been saying for the past few weeks that she's going to try and get Dad to go to the Japanese steakhouse with her for their anniversary, and I'm praying he knows about what she wants. Mom is worse than the average female about expecting Dad to be a mindreader, so I'm not sure this is going to be pretty.
An example: They came up to Michigan for my graduation a few years ago. The day after they got there was a Friday, and I had to work. So they went to Frankenmuth for the day.
She said: He just drove around and wouldn't stop and wouldn't stop and just came back here to the hotel! We haven't eaten today!
He said: I drove around town and she never said anything about anyplace she wanted to stop, what was I supposed to think?
Sigh.
ready to go home. Was feeling fine this morning...now I feel awful. Tried having a cup of tea, that didn't help. Tried having a granola bar, that REALLY didn't help. I'm blaming Carol's boss...he's sick, he can barely breathe, and he STILL insists on coming to City Hall to infect the rest of us for a couple hours.
And I still need to talk to the fire chief. Except he's too busy today.
